About the Author
Mohammed DF, born in 1996 in Morocco, is a writer whose journey has been deeply shaped by reading, writing, and the search for identity. From an early age, he found in books a space for escape, reflection, and freedom. Over time, writing became a way for him to explore the questions that have accompanied him throughout his life: identity, belonging, solitude, freedom, and the individual’s place within society.
He chooses to publish under the pseudonym Hayat El Mitly, a symbolic name that reflects a part of his personal, human, and intellectual journey. Through this pseudonym, he has developed a literary voice attentive to personal experiences, unspoken emotions, and realities that are sometimes difficult to express openly.
His writing is characterized by a poetic, introspective, and deeply human style. He pays particular attention to the psychological and emotional dimensions of his characters—their contradictions, wounds, hopes, and inner struggles. His stories also draw inspiration from everyday life and from the tensions that can exist within conservative societies.
Influenced by Arab and international writers who have made literature a space for freedom, reflection, and questioning, Mohammed DF sees writing as a way to engage with the world while also understanding himself.
Through his books, he seeks above all to give a voice to human experiences that are often difficult to tell, transforming individual stories into narratives capable of reaching readers beyond borders, cultures, and differences.
